Choose the raw material that best fits your downstream product and temperature class
From raw mica crystal to finished paper roll in three stages
Raw mica crystal is mechanically and hydraulically broken down into fine pulp in water — removing impurities.
Mica pulp is formed into a continuous sheet on a paper machine — the same principle as traditional papermaking.
The wet paper is pressed, dried and wound into rolls — ready for conversion into micanite products.
Mica paper is a sheet material manufactured entirely from fine mica flakes — without any fiber reinforcement or binder. Raw mica is first broken down into a water-based pulp by hydraulic separation, then formed into continuous paper on a papermaking machine and dried into rolls. The result is a flexible, self-supporting sheet that is 92% or more pure mica, with dielectric strength and thermal stability close to the raw mineral itself.
As an experienced mica paper manufacturer in China, Kaxite Sealing produces Muscovite, Phlogopite, calcined and synthetic mica paper in rolls from 8 g/m² to 250 g/m², widths up to 1000 mm. It is the upstream raw material for Mica Sheets, Mica Tapes and Mica Gaskets.

Mica paper is made from fine mica flakes with no binder — it is flexible, thin (8-250 g/m²), and primarily used as a raw material to make downstream products. Mica sheet (also called micanite) is made by bonding mica paper to a fiberglass or resin backing, and is rigid or semi-rigid. See Mica Sheets for the finished product.
Muscovite for general electrical insulation up to 500°C. Phlogopite for fire-resistant cable tapes and high-temp applications up to 1000°C. Calcined for enhanced thermal stability. Synthetic for critical electronics where maximum purity is required. Contact us for a recommendation.
For capacitor dielectric use 8-30 g/m². For fire-resistant cable tapes use 60-120 g/m². For micanite plates use 100-180 g/m². For thicker board-grade products use 200-250 g/m². Tell us your downstream product and we will recommend the right grammage.
Yes. We supply standard roll widths up to 1000 mm, and slit to any custom width from 10 mm. Core diameters of 76 mm and 152 mm are standard; custom cores on request. Please send your inquiry with your required dimensions.
Yes. Every shipment includes Mill Test Certificate, dimensional inspection record and material composition report. RoHS and REACH documentation are available on request. See our Our Certificate page.
MOQ is 10 rolls for standard sizes. Lead time is 7-15 days after order confirmation. Payment terms are T/T or L/C. Free samples are available — you only cover the courier cost. Contact Us to discuss.
Send us your required grammage (8-250 g/m²), roll width and roll length — we slit and re-roll to your exact specification. No extra tooling charge for standard mica types.
